The Uni Rich woodchip carrier docked at Port Melville on 15 January, marking the tenth shipment from the plantations on Melville Island.

Departing six days later, it was the first shipment to the Chinese market, with Tiwi now exporting to both China and Japan.

The woodchip exports commenced in August 2016 and provide a steady income stream and career opportunities for the local Tiwi community
